JOBS ASSIST GRANT NOW ENDS JUNE 30, 2012
PJT Accountants & Business Advisors are registered consultants for the Queensland Government Jobs Assist program. Under this program, Government Assistance up to $8,000 (available in two stages worth $3000 and $5000) is available to eligible Queensland businesses for the provision of our business analysis and advisory services. PJT have already assisted over 40 businesses, at no cost to our clients!
Jobs Assist is designed to help businesses weather current economic conditions, retain employees and seed for growth.

Funding
The Queensland state government is providing the funding for the delivery of our services to Queensland businesses who have 10 or more full time (or equivalent in part time and casual) employees, are located within targeted localities or industries (described below), and who are financially vulnerable.
The Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovations (DEEDI)—who administers the $10M of Jobs Assist funds—aims to prevent job losses in vulnerable businesses, sustain or improve current levels of employment, and to employ a program of early intervention by providing access to professional and high-level business development assistance.
How it works
Jobs Assist support is provided in two stages:
- Stage 1 starts with a $3,000 business audit to assess and diagnose key issues impacting on your business and develop an action plan to help you create strategies and activities which will improve the business model.
- Stage 2 consists of up to an additional $5,000 funding to engage our consultants to mentor, provide advice and to assist with implementation of the priority tasks identified in the stage 1 action plan.

Eligibility criteria
Jobs Assist is available to businesses which:
- Have an established operating base in Queensland,
- Employ ten or more full time (equivalent) employees,
- Have ABN & GST registration, and are located within one of the regions listed below, or in one of the key industries below:
Eligible Regions:
Cairns: Including areas in the Cairns, Tablelands and Cassowary Coast regional councils’ boundaries
Townsville—Thuringowa: Covering areas in the local governments of Burdekin and Hinchinbrook Shire, Charters Towers Regional and Townsville City councils
Bundaberg—Hervey Bay: Including areas covered by the Bundaberg Regional, Fraser Coast Regional and Gladstone Regional councils
Southern Wide Bay—Burnett: Comprising areas covered by the Gympie, South Burnett and Fraser Coast regional councils and the Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council
Caboolture—Sunshine Coast: Comprising areas covered by the Sunshine Coast and North Moreton regional councils
Ipswich and Logan: Comprising areas covered by the Ipswich and Logan City Councils
