Superannuation Co-Contribution Decreased Temporarily

The superannuation co-contribution scheme will be reduced to 100% of eligible contributions for the next three financial years up to 30 June 2012.

For every $1 you contribute, the government will contribute another $1000 (up to a maximum of $1000) reduced by 3.333 cents for each dollar by which the person's total income exceeds the shade out threshold for receiving the full co-contribution.
