The new Jobs Assist Program is a business support program providing targeted action to support business resilience. The government's aim is to encourage the creation or maintenance of jobs. The grant enables businesses to obtain advise to help them improve the business.

To be eligible, the business must employ 10 or more full time equivalent employees (FTE's), be operating in Qld, have an ABN and be registered for GST.

Normally the business would need to fit key industry sectors. However, the Sunshine Coast (along with 5 other area's of Qld) has been identified as a risk area for job losses and therefore the grant is currently open for all industries to apply. This will not last long! We have been advised that the government is already half way through it's funding and it has only been 2 months!

The Grant can be provided in two stages:

Stage 1 will provide up to $3,000 to assist the client to engage a consultant to conduct an assessment of the client's business and develop an Action Plan to address all strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the business including an effective reporting process and select strategies and actions to support and improve the business.

Stage 2 will provide up to $5,000 to assist the client to implement the activities identified as immediate priority tasks in their Action Plan that could include an effective reporting process, through the engagement of a consultant to mentor or provide expert advice on the implementation process or through the provision of a contribution to the application of relevant State and Federal support programs or through the provision of other support services identified in the Action Plan for the business implementation process.

This service is in relation to business advice, and we do not need to take over your accounting work from your current accountant. Under this grant, we will conduct a review of the business and develop an Action Plan to improve the business. We can then assist you in implementing the activities of the Action Plan to ensure the business obtains results.
