2009 Corporate Business Woman of the Year

Jodie always had an interest in business, so becoming an Accountant was a natural step for her. She began her career as an Accountant with a local firm, whilst studying her Bachelor of Business degree part time.

She has also worked for Price Waterhouse Coopers, Citibank and Enterprise Energy Ireland (subsidiary of Shell) while raveling overseas. Having this diverse level of experience has allowed her to work with any size business.

Jodie purchased her own business five years ago and has worked on changing the direction of PJT Accountants & Business Advisors to focus on improving her client's business by achieving their business and lifestyle goals. Her vision is to help grow their business along with improving their profit and cash flow. She helps create the tools to deliver quality advice and ensures the level of service remains high.

Jodie values what the Sunshine Coast has to offer and believes that work and a happy lifestyle should be balanced. She believes that success is assured once you commit yourself to a goal, and that has been demonstrated in all that she does.

For Jodie seeing the wonderful results her clients achieve is a very satisfying experience.

Profile magazine interview:

Profile: What does the win mean to you – personally and professionally?

Jodie: Personally, the win is a symbol of my commitment and determination to achieve my goals. On a professional level, the win indicates that my team and I are growing PJT Accountants & Business Advisors in the right direction and it is a great opportunity to be an example to other business owners.

Profile: What defines success for you?
Jodie
: Success for me needs to encompass all parts of my life. If you appear to be doing well on a professional level, but your personal life is being sacrificed, you are not living a truly happy life. I work to ensure that I achieve my goals on a personal and professional level and I always ensure I have time for myself, my family and my friends.

Profile: What do you expect to get out of the next 12 months as an award winner?
Jodie
: I expect that I will be able to work with the SCBWN and Telstra Country Wide to talk to other business owners and be an example to them. I hope I am able to inspire others to achieve their business and lifestyle success.
